We are proud to present another publication from the QPL team!
In an effort led by Paul, QPL just published a paper on the design of a piezo-optomechanical transducer, which does not need to be suspended. Along this research direction the lab has previously demonstrated release-free optomechanical crystals (Kolvik et al.). The release-free approach is expected to improve the power handling capabilities of these transducers and bring us closer towards exciting quantum experiments.
